Deep Listening: To Women

Join Diana Chester, Postdoctoral Fellow in Humanities in an exploration of Listening. In this workshop, we will listen to a variety of recordings, and employ different listening techniques to do so. This will include Deep Listening, an approach to listening developed by Pauline Oliveros, a thought leader in the arena of sound studies. Take this opportunity to incorporate some of her practices and techniques as well as listen to works of some excellent Female Composers and Sound Artists.
