  • Recognize between primary and secondary publications and when to use them.
  • Pair a title with its reference.
  • Distinguish types of ethical use of information and costs of plagiarism.
  • Evaluate information and contribute to the scholarly conversation.

  • Describe strategies for developing your research question in order to write a research paper
  • Locate scholarly resources in order to develop a relevant annotated bibliography on your research question to support your thesis statement.
  • List specific databases, pathfinding and citation tools for research in order to access and cite high-quality resources.
