Getting Started at Yale-NUS College Library

The library provides:

  • Research Guides tailored to specific fields of study to help you find what you need.
  • Get help preparing your research, finding resources, evaluating your sources, and using and citing your research with a research consultation with one of our Subject Librarians for the Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities.
  • Join us for a workshop.
  • Collaborate with the Library exhibitions and events.

Personal Librarian
This program is intended to introduce first-year students to librarians, whom they can contact throughout their first year to get support in the Library.

Borrowing from the Library

  • You can borrow library materials from any of the 7 libraries in the NUS community.
  • Borrow up to 20 books at a time, and renew them online 3 times using your Library account.
  • Course Reserve (RBR) books can be checked out for a maximum of (2 hours). Moreover, Kindle RBR 2 hours and DVD RBR can be checked out for 4 hours both are exclusive to Yale-NUS students and staff.
  • Borrow a selection of Media equipment (exclusive to Yale-NUS students and staff): Cameras, video cameras, audio recorders, tripods, charging cables, Kindles.
