Exhibition: Two installations by Objectifs: Centre for Photography and Film

This month, the Library is hosting two installations brought to you by Objectifs.

Shooting Home Youth Awards Exhibition – Class of 2016

“This exhibition celebrates the works of nine young participants from the Shooting Home Youth Awards 2016. SHYA is a platform for students aged 15 to 18 to develop their photographic skills and ambitions. The call for submissions for Shooting Home Youth Awards 2017 is now open. More information can be found at https://www.objectifs.com.sg/shya2017/.”

One of the participants is our very own Kit Ling, a Yale-NUS College student!

Home. Truly – Cine65 : a film installation

You might have noticed a series of short films projected on the Library wall, and wondered if something special was going on. This is the Library’s first film installation, and we’re excited to add some life to our space. Take a break, visit the installation, pick up the headphones provided and marvel at the young talent featured in the film series.

About the film series:
“Singapore grew out of the hard work of many people who came and stayed because they believed in this place and made it their home. Featuring award-winning short films from the ciNE65 IV Short Film Competition 2017 based on the theme of Home. Truly,  these films contain a myriad of stories on what
makes home truly. Singapore grew out of the hard work of many people who came and stayed because they believed in this place and made it their home.
